About Us

The vision of ALDAR is to create a hub at courtyard of the InterContinental Hotel in Amman to showcase a carefully selected pool of local Jordanian designers who both design and produce handicrafts of high quality incorporating traditional motifs which relay stories rooted in the culture and heritage of Jordan. In doing so, ALDAR aspires to play a promising role in supporting the sector of cultural handicrafts within Jordan in the hope that this venue will support existing designers and encourage aspiring new designers to come on to the scene. By fostering a close relationship with the designers and artisans, the management of ALDAR is fully aware of the trickle down effect that our project has to a large pool of talented and well trained artisans not only in Amman but in many cities and villages throughout Jordan. As the products are showcased and marketed both regionally and internationally, the intention is to see this sector grow as it encourages more artisans to design, work and produce.
